My D90 will start then stall after running for about 2 minutes. Until recently it would start and run if I let it sit for abut 30 minutes. However, about two weeks ago it starts, runs for about two minutes then stalls. It cranks but doesn't start. After sitting about 30 minutes it starts then stalls again after two minutes. I just purchased a module amplifier and ignition coil from Rovers North, installed both and the problem continues. ANY ideas??? Thanks guys.

As it warms up AICV is failing to move and adjust the idle. Give it a good clean or get a replacement from autozone.

I had that problem with a fairly new coil. The problem may have started to happen, because I left the ignition switch on for about 20 minutes. While working on tail lights. I then read that the coil can heat up so much it will wreck itself. When I touched it after leaving it on for too long, it burned my hand. After that incident, the truck would start and drive fine, but if i left it at idle for more than 5 minutes it would die and not restart. I think the coil developed a resistance. Then it would heat up and quit. I replaced the coil again and the truck runs great. I even got 1 mpg better. I had lost 1 mpg after the coil over temp. The ignition spark being stronger, I guess. Just my experience. Hope it helps.
