The Dutch law in regards to commercial vehicles changed in 1994. Difficult formula to which the standard 130 Crew cab was from then on considered a passenger car with related high taxes.

Land Rover then introduced the special Dutch version with the longer wheelbase and a unie body bed. This bed is actually shorter then the 130 hi-cap bed.
You will only see this in 300tdi and TD5 version.

many of the then existing ones were locally converted by stretching the wheel base. Simply cut in halve, extended the frame and put the same hi cap bed back. You see these now any then and are easy to recognise as the wheels in the back are not centred in the wheel arch.

In the early 2000’s other ways were found to comply to the commercial vehicle standards and the hi-cap 130 came back to the Dutch market while the special Dutch version was discontinued.

Any version is probably rare. I remember buying a new 110 in 1995 which was one of the 25 new Defenders sold on the Dutch market that year. Over the years, I cannot imagen more then 100-200 were made, if even that many.
Then the Dutch 129" Crew Cab is actually shorter overall than the 127" HiCap? Standard HiCap beds extend about 6" beyond the rear x-member, Dutch model looks flush.

Chill dude , give people a chance to reply.

No, that is a standard 110 hicap

This is a Turkish style

Thanks for the pic. I've never seen a pic of the Turk 110 HiCap before. Bed is a design similar to the 127 Rapier's, and has some cool features. If the sides can be fixed horizontal when folded out, they'd make handy work surfaces.

Hi Johan, I know you are pretty well versed on Defender imports…I was told that you can tell a Dutch spec with a purpose built frame vs a 110 frame that was cut because the purpose built frame goes all the way to the tailgate? 1996 they were making purpose built frames and not cutting them up anymore?

So hard to find a bunch of info on Dutch specs

In the back of my mind there was a special Dutch 110, with an extended single cab, intended to shorten the bed and reduce taxation.
Just can't find a picture
That sounds cool.
One Rover should've built is a 127" extended cab with the 110 Hi-cap bed. I need room in my Rover for Rover.
Extended cab body kits used to be for sale in UK.
