Tithonus hard top to soft top

Most likely permanent. My last rover was a 1980 109 ffr soft top and I loved it. I am really looking forward to the rubberized canvas. It looks really tough.

I came home and removed all of the fasteners that hold the composite top and removed the rear door. All I need is a little help getting the top off of the truck and on to the ground.

Got the top on for now. I still need to fit the tailgate. I didn't get all of the pics as it rained on and off this weekend. I will post some to night if I can.

I will still need to get the external roll bar fitted also.

What's the latest? Pics? I keep seeing nice looking Tithonus 110's up for sale with their butt-ugly hard tops. Really interested to see how yours is coming out.

Okay you got me. It was all straight forward. I do have to say that the soft top is the way to go for me. I have been slammed at work and will get more detailed pics soon. I also have added RN door cards and installed a stereo in the tuffy.

Good idea, I did the same to mine and also added the acoustic mats (you Tithonus guys already have those..) last spring. It's pretty civilized now. I ended up putting an amplifier under the passenger seat as well, sometimes you need some volume to drown out the flapping of the canvas at speeds over 60 or so.

If I were doing it over, I would probably consider putting a chunk of Dynamat or equivalent behind the RN door cards. I'm happy with it as is though.

Dynamat is exactly what I was planning to do. Great minds I guess.

Love the fume curtain, is it the army surplus 'wolf' type? Was going to make one for my Tithonus out of some NATO green canvas duck I have in the garage, just wouldn't have the neat window that yours does. Wolf wolf covers too?

Yes it is a Wolf type. Fume curtain and seat covers from PA Blanchard.

I will be mounting a new Highlift jack and a Hella work light as a back up light.

Abe your interior looks a lot like mine now! I like the fume curtain and the seat covers, I might do that also. The curtain might help keep things a bit warmer.

Enjoy your XZLs while you can. I was forced to a different size tire when I ran a spike through one of mine.

Today I took apart the seat and got the head rest off of the seat so I could put the last seat cover on. I also mounted a hella matador work light for a back up/ rear work light. I used the switch on the steering column and found the power in the rear of the loom and tied in.
