Looking for a good 4.2 ideally something with a good block/bottom end. Ok if head gaskets are bad.

Located in Southern California

Thanks

in the past, I and other people whom have been looking for major components have found it easiest and financially wise to purchase a decent running but otherwise defective (rust, major wreck, no title etc.) as a viable way.
that is if you have the space to house a non moving spare vehicle and the time to strip it as well as the means to dispose of it. in my experience, I have procured a trailer and hauled the left over to local metal scrap yard (they pay you by weight), or simply called a any local towing operation whom will gladly take off your hands.

That's true. Unfortunately cheap trucks are becoming scarce, especially in California. If the right option came my way I could make it work.

last project donor was found on Ebay, on a 10 hr round trip. I paid $100.00 yup a hundred. retrieval costs were higher than the donor it self..lol...
