Need to replace lower bushings on rear shocks, I might as well do the uppers too. I'm having trouble finding the correct bushings, I've called around locally and have been told there are two different types of bushing based on my vin number, at the time I did not have my vin on hand. Called AB who told me they don't even carry bushings for the rear Bilstein shocks. Called Bilstein US who weren't aware if they could supply me with just the bushing as a replacement part, or any problems with premature bushing wear. When I purchased the shocks some 4-5 years ago I know bushings came with them. I am kind of surprised I'm already needing to replace them, I had to replace my front shock absorber bushings a couple months ago. I'm wondering if this is a symptom of the Bilstein gas-charged shocks? The Bilstein gas charged shocks seem to exert alot of pressure on the innermost bushings and those bushings wear out prematurely. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a harder/longer-lasting bushing available? Thanks in advance.
