Howdy,

I'm trying to replace my 1989 90 TD5 radiator (with oil cooler). All I'm seeing online are 200/300 TDI radiators online... Anyone know if the 200TDI radiator is interchangeable? Not seeing a thread on this.

Thanks!

What engine do you have? You said 1989 td5 but that would not be factory. If you have a retro fit 200tdi much more common swap from the 2.5TD that would have been in there from factory then yes that radiator would work. If it’s a td5 then maybe more questions to follow.

I have a repair receipt from the previous owner who had the engine replaced/fixed - "Reconditioned Engine (2.5TD)." I could be wrong, but I thought TD5 = Turbo Diesel 2.5?

Engine number is 19J 3850R

Thanks for the help!

Sorry the td5 is a new variant starting around 1998-99. The 19j is a 2.5 TD correct variant for your year. The radiator from lrparts.com shows a part number of NTC6168 and rovers north has a part number of PLL918
