Seating suggestion for 110ExMod

Greetings

I want to get new front and rear seats for my 1985 Defender 110 ExMod. This is a right hand drive that only goes out when the sun is shining in the summer here on Cape Ann, MA. I do not ever put the soft top on it to be honest.

The rear seats currently are 3 flimsy individual seats along each side and a rear facing double jump bench. I would like to take them all out and have just side bench seats but I cannot tell if 2 x dbl bench seats will fit on each side since the catalogs do not show any measurements of the seats available. Any input here would be appreciated.

In case you're wondering I am removing the rear facing jump seat so there is more useable room in truck bed. Additionally I need side bench seats that swing up when I need to use the truck bed and don't want the seats in the way or getting damaged.

Thoughts on not too costly front seats? The current ones are really in bad shape and were never good to begin with. I wouldn't mind neoprene seats in case they get raininess on but vinyl is fine too.

Thanks!

On your truck, two 2 man bench seats will fit on one side, giving you up to 8 passenger seating. ExMoor sells the waterproof ones, and there were 4 seats for sale on here a week or so ago.

Ensure you either install the LR factory brackets, or have plates under the truck where the bolts for seats go, and for any seatbelts you add. Otherwise they are only held in place by flimsy aluminum!

For front seats, vinyl is fine, but I would not allow interior anything to get too wet. If you have standard seats, the BritPart seat kits are reasonably priced. Easy to do yourself.

I too have an exmod, and what I went with was Sparco R100’s in the front with removable bases. Each seat + base was about 350$. Super affordable and comfortable. I went with their Leatherette Vinyl. They look sharp.

In the rear I have exmoor Lock and Folds I bought through a member here that goes by MethodPhx. Been super happy with them.

Do the Lock and Folds have integral seatbelts? The Exmoor page/ad seems to say so but I haven't seen an actual customer install til this one...

What determined the fore/aft location of yours? Preference, or are they supposed to go in a particular spot?

Jesus,
Do you have the part number for those lock and folds? Are those 2 man bench seats in your Picture? That is exactly what I am looking for too. Thanks

Seat location was completely based on preference. I chose to put mine there due to future rollcage considerations. My model does not come with integral seatbelts, but I believe the latest do.

Hey man! These are forward facing single seats. I really like them and I know you can fit up to 4 in the back if you’re so inclined. That or either a 2 man bench and a lock and fold per side. I’ll pm you the part number once I find it. Cheers!
