FYI. Zombie has it up for sale. Manual gearbox and with Rostyles if you want them. A manageable project perhaps, but then why doesn't he want it? It's not clean, but apparently really rust free! (Minor rust on lift gate) Although I must disagree on his statement "better than Defender 90 or 110" ;-)

Hu.... looks relatively unmolested by Mr. Zombie.

I'll brave the 100 degree weather and look at it for anyone who is curious.

This thread lists it as a "1980" Classic but the ebay ad states it is a 1989 which would make all the interior period-correct.

Besides the stories about Zombie....does anyone have firsthand experience with VM TD's?
Also, was the VM a timing chain motor?
