I am looking to replace the rear corners to galvanize them like the series defenders.

Does anybody know what size rivet drill bit to safely remove the rivets?

I’m new to this forum, thanks in advance for any advice!

I like my rivet stacks. Just reverse the drill and grab the rivets with pliers and they spin right off. But Doug is right, a slightly large bit also works and you can then knock through the shanks. Keep in mind there may be adhesive holding on the cappings as well so if they don’t pop right off, try gently prying.

3/16 is the rivet shank and hole size. I use a larger bit to avoid stacking the rivet heads on the drill bit.
Agree. You can use a bit size up to the diameter of the head. it will still cut off at the shank first causing the head to come free. Use light pressure once you’re close to the head separating from the shank.
