Just finished swapping my worn LT85 and transfer case for a low miles R380 and used transfer case. Resealed all of the bolts and covers on the LT230 plus a good clean up and paint of both. Had to fab a bracket to get the diff linkage to work with the R380. New LOF clutch and HD release bearing.
Looked for a R380 tunnel and could only find new. By the time I bought that plus the adapters I'd be in $700+. Looking at the exiting tunnel did see why I couldn't just cut and move the shifter cutout back 2" and fab a raised cover behind. So I did just that and works great with the existing adapter. Cost me $20 for a qt of resin 😀
