Hello Smart Party.
I have been digging around trying to find install instructions for Load Area Seats in a Defender 110.

I have genuine seats already, brackets and seatbelts on the way. But I haven't seen any specific instructions on fitting of the seats. Only exploded diagrams of the belt component.

Anyone gone through this process? Would be great to pull together in one location.

Thanks!

That requires a Puma tub or heavy modification of the square fendered tub. There are kits available but I have not used one.

The biggest step is that the Puma tub has indentations above the wheel arches, which enable the side-folding mechanism to be somewhat more recessed. There is a UK supplier who sells weld-in panels to convert your older tub into the Puma shape (which looks reasonably straightforward if you are handy with aluminum welding). I’ve seen videos of the whole process on YouTube—doesn’t look that much more difficult than installing the inward facing seats once you have the correct tub shape.
