Up for sale is my extended range main fuel tank ordered from Safari EQ. It was ordered for my 1988 ROW Defender 110 LHD (although assume it fits RHD). Dont know if it fits other models.

Its mild steel with a guard. Its brand new, never installed. Been in my garage. Decided to go with an aux tank as I dont have the time to install this main tank. This thing is a beast! Weighs 88 lbs and built like a rock. Shipping dimensions

70cm x 70cm x 65cm @ 40kg

I can ship via fastenal or ?. Buyer pays shipping. Pick up preferred. I'm in San Diego, CA.

Paid $735 plus a $200+ for shipping from the UK. Selling for $700 obo.

Thanks for catching that. Just updated the listing. I ordered for my 1988 ROW 110 LHD that was running at 3.5L gas engine. Assume it fits diesel as well??

Would a diesel need a return line? Not interested and not trying to crap on sale, just wondering as I thought that was the difference in the 109 tanks that are universal?

Good point! I'm sure you can tap one in there. It's mild steel. That said I listed it for a gas engine.

Looks like the mounts are for a Puma chassis, that would have been a pain to install in your 88

Jim, thats correct. Would need some modifications from what I was told. Unfortunately as typical with Safari they offer no instructions.

I must unceremoniously un-lick this tank as Safari has informed me that mine (ordered in November - I had lost all hope) is ready to ship. It sounds like @rherl is ready to move and I hope it is a smooth transaction for all.

Adam thanks for the update. It is a pain to work with that company. Do believe they're good people but they could definitely use somebody to help manage them. Okay this is back on the market. Anybody interested DM me.
