Hi All,

We (Alex and Lewis) are currently stripping our Defender 110 TD5 back to the chassis for a full nuts and bolts restoration. We are based in the UK and this is our first restoration project we have chosen to film and document! We wanted to say hi and get involved with all you Land Rover veterans out there on the other side of the pond, especially as the Defender we are building was never available in the US, so may be of interest! We also know full well that no other country on the planet has more car guys and gals than the United States and would love to feed off your knowledge and inspiration.

We also hope we can help here as we know a fair bit about Land Rovers, Defenders especially.

Our Defender is currently stripped down to the chassis, with the engine removed and we will be cleaning it off for a full inspection in the coming days.

If you want to follow the action, please do check our either our Instagram page, BUST2BUILT or our YouTube channel which can be found by searching BUST2BUILT also.

Let us know if you want any picture updates via the forum too, we have lots.

All the very best to you and a Happy New Year.

Absolutely and we have had plenty of it recently! The valley behind the house was 4ft underwater a couple of weeks ago. The Land Rover factory installed leaks need to be fixed before she comes out again :D

Hi everyone,

our next video has landed and in this one we remove the bulkhead and take out the engine, gearbox and transfer case. Appreciate the quality of filming isn't great, so if you have any questions on how to strip the Defenders back, we would be happy to answer them.

Thanks,

Hi all, been busy recently, so been a bit slow on here. But please check out our latest videos. Appreciate one is of a Discovery rather than a Defender, but the engines in both are the same and may be of interest;

And the one for stripping the chassis right back on the Defender and giving it a clean up. If you like what we are doing, help us out by hitting that subscribe button. Thanks, and always happy to answer questions if you have any.
