That looks good! How are you going to mount it?
Sorry missed this. Im still adjusting. I was given the pelican toolbox empty. I had a lot of tools in smaller pelican and storm cases and spent a few hours modifying foam and fitting stuff in, but need to do more. Like anything with drawers or dividers its not as efficient use of space as throwing everything into a smaller box. One drawer is for chisels and I wanted to hit a harbor freight for an assortment for it while I was in N.California but didnt happen. Now that truck is in Raton,NM and I've forgotten what I'm missing/need in the other drawers. Im a dumbass for not taking a picture of ea drawer to that end. I mounted it so the rear door on the disco opens to this box with drawers pulling towards the door. Its lashed down and now thats its packed with tools would take a while to move so treating this as a semi permanent living space for that. Camping gear like sleeping bags, cooking stuff, etc is in 2 large military hardigg cases behind the tool box which are a wrestling match to get out the passenger side rear door. Storing gear in a truck where mice damage is a real issue has us with everything in cases except the Malamoo 3 second tent thats lying on top of the load. The door behind the driver will hopefully soon open to the fridge. Spares like axle shafts and cv's are lying in the 2nd row footwell, need to bring a shelf over that area (thinking 3mm aluminum) to make the rear floor all flat and mount fridge on that platform. This truck has seen some fairly violent use while fully loaded for overlanding to date- like running the Rubicon etc. Have learned I need to have everything lashed but quickly accessible. Trial and error moving stuff around and trying different positioning. How do you like the Pelican tool box? I was looking at these recently (and the Snap-On version) as a replacement for rolls and small bags in the bigger tool bag…
