Should I just throw the old one out since I would need to blast and rebuild it, or is it worth the trouble to do that type of refurb?

New ones are sub $200.

I did not think they have any serviceable parts.

You may be right.

Was seeing this, but don't know if it would be what I would need anyway. Wasn't anything wrong with it when I pulled it from the truck, just ugly as sin with all the peeling paint....

The servo repair kits don't include much, filter, bellows etc. but no valve.

I replaced mine w/ new and am happy but the one I bought (from Rovahfarm) needed to have the pushrod locking collar filed down to allow me to adjust the rod in enough. As supplied, the servo was causing the brakes to drag.
