both power and the tach signal come from the alternator. Check the engine ground, check the battery/starter connections , check the alternator wiring and finally replace the alt
Battery light on and Tacho not working
Hello Guys
i have 300tdi D90 97’
My tacho stop working and battery light come on dimmed
I have check the battery state and it was 12.9v after that i check the charging and i found that when i start the car it is same as the battery and slowly start to increase till 14.2v but the lamp stay on (dimmed) and Tacho not working!
Also noted that during the ignition tacho jump a little bit and after start nothing
Please let me have you opinion?
