This shouldn't be hard, but i can't figure out the right thread size for the bolts that mount my steering box to the frame.

The steering box is an adwest, with the label showing

adwest eng. ltd. England
ntc 8223
date code serial no
3 - J - 0997

The manual says ntc8223 is a gemmer and it needs bolts

4 x BH607381 (7/17 20) up to vin 323657
or
4 x BX112201 (m12 1.5) from vin 323685

I have run a tap of both sizes through one of th holes and neither one jumps out at me as being the better fit. Since this is the steering I really don't want to F this up.

Of course I have no idea what the serial # of the truck is that this came from since I bought it used. Any thoughts? Am I making too much of this?
