RHD 1990 127, 6 belted seats, partial station wagon conversion.
Miles: 182,200 on original 2.5td engine. It drives fair, with no apparent mechanical issues. Had no trouble putting around 500 driving miles in the UK, and no trouble driving it from the port of Baltimore to my digs in Northern Virginia. It is a 25 year old truck/engine/tranny though....
The fuel injection pump was sent away for reconditioning and the job was handled by Peter May in Darley, North Yorkshire. It cost a mint to address.
Brake proportioning valve was replaced.
Wolf Rims, BF Goodrich ATs
Chassis is in good condition
Body is in fair/good condition. No egregious rust. Footwells/bulkhead in good shape. Paint job was poorly done by the farmer.
RHD
$42,000 (just bought a new house, and it would be great to get my down payment back!)
Please PM me if you would like to see the truck or need more info. Truck is located in the Herndon/Reston/Sterling area of Northern Virginia.

I neglected following through with the sale of the truck as I had alot on my plate last 6 months or so...however, now that I have the new house, new job, and the birth of my fourth baby out of the way, I can devote more attention to selling this truck.
I uploaded 2 videos, and can send more pics and videos at your request. The truck is registered in Virginia and is open for viewing at Haymarket, VA. Please reach out, let's talk!

Just looked through the video, and the door bottoms don't come through really well...I'll upload some pics to go along with this thread.

Now on eBay:
Land Rover Defender 127 130 | eBay

I'd be happy to look at the vehicle if anyone is interested, I've talked to Ed at length & he's a good guy...would give me an excuse to have a 130-rendezvous :).

NThis is my personally owned 1990 RHD 130 Defender I brought back to the States with me while I was living in the UK. 100% legally imported, has a clear Virginia title, original shipping documents, and a genuine British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate validating its authenticity. I bought the truck as a project vehicle, however I have to let it go.

VIN: SALLDHAB7FA391598
Repairs:
reconditioned fuel injector pump, performed by Peter May Restorations in Darley, North Yorkshire UK
steering box drop arm bushing replacement

The 130 is in good running order. Keep in mind this is a 26 year old vehicle, and it does show some sign of age in the usual bits these defenders show their age; rust on the floor panels, door bottoms. Some panels show dings, and the paint job performed on it could have been better. The engine starts in cold weather, and I drove a few 300 mile trips without issue.

A neat feature about this 130 that sets it apart from other offerings is that there was a partial station wagon conversion performed. Basically all that means is that the truck bed is covered with metal paneling instead of the typical canvas that covers the rear, and it has access via a rear safari door.

Has a heated windscreen installed, however, you will need to install the electronics to make it functional.

Full galvanized roof rack.

Chassis in in good shape. No visible holes, cracks. Was waxoyl'd while in the UK. Bulkhead is also in great condition not showing usual rot.

Truck must be viewed to be appreciated. If you come to view the vehicle, know you are viewing a vehicle that is no showroom truck...those trucks sell for more than $70,000.

$500 PayPal deposit is to be made within 24 hours of winning bid. The remainder is to be paid via cashiers check from the bank or via cash on collection.

Serious inquiries only please.

It's AMAZING to me that this is still available at this price. With all the guys out there screaming every time a 130 comes available and this one priced the way it is, I can't believe it's still available. Never thought a 130 priced under $40K in good condition AND stateside wouldn't be gone immediately.

Interesting truck! Not only has the bed been covered, but the bed does not cantelever past the rear crossmember! Well on its way towards a 130 wagon, which is super rare! I believe Foley does this conversion, and it is not inexpensive- GLWS!

still available

would appreciate some feedback...i've had many people show some interest in the vehicle, and all seem to indicate that they want the truck bed open...if you read this, would that be your preference on the truck as well? i am getting a few estimates in the area on that work...also, any ideas where I can pick up a tailgate for a 130? i'd hate to see that expensive conversion from Foley's go to waste....

Still amazed you still have this. It seems everyone wants a 130 and yet you still have it.
I would not change it. Why go through the trouble when u have a great truck as is and the people "that expressed interest" want a pick up. For as cheap as you're selling it for let them buy it and change it themselves. If you change it and they still don't buy then you wasted time and money.

Off market

I'm pulling this off the market for a little while. I decided to send it to a restoration guy and pull off paneling covering the rear. I will also have some panels fixed, and truck sprayed in its original color of white. The chassis will also get a remediation treatment. It's unfortunate not many people were excited about it in its current style, but hopefully exposing the truck bed will garner more interest.
Anyone have a 130 tailgate?
Is paddock the best place to get a new set of front and second row doors? Bonnet?
