I shared the first two episodes in a previous post last week and even though this isn't Defender content, I didn't get any push-back so I thought I'd share Episode 3 of 6 here.
The word of the day is Bodywork.
My truck has some fading from oxidation and sunlight on the exterior paint and I was wondering which option (Waxoyl clay bar, rubbing compound, or paint correction) at an automotive detailer will give me the best result? Your thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Has anyone changed the color on their NAS vehicles? If so, are you happy with the transformation? I'm researching and interested in painting a Portofino red vehicle to Fuji white and would love to get your thoughts.
My defender came with some chequer plate and I got a piece for my bonnet used because it had the tire mount so figured that was easier and cheaper then getting a new bonnet. I was going to paint them black Because I am not a big fan of the silver, but thought it may be cool to paint them to...
Hey folks - I'm planning to knock off some surface rust on the bottom of my doors, but I am having trouble finding a shop that sells Alpine White spray for my '95 130.
Any suggestions? I am in the Houston area if anyone has some local leads.
Has anyone used a vehicle wrap instead of repainting? Advantages I see are you don't have to worry about scratching paint while on a trail and the cost would be significantly less. Don't know if there are any side effects with corrosion or maybe since the Defender is not a "standard USA"...
Ive got four freshly painted 5-spoke Beluga Black RRC Rims, $600 for the set. LR Part Number RTC9526. Of course compatible with Disco 1, RRC and Defender.
Call/Text for additional pictures.
Drive safe all!
Sliders are removed from my truck. Going with sills and steps for a bit while I get the sliders blasted. Will reinstall sliders before trails.
Are there plugs to keep water out of both ends of the outriggers? Should I get some paint in there or just coat it periodically with fluid film?

I just purchased a galvanized NAS D90 chassis, and would like to paint it black. I have been reading that there is a way to be successful at this, but did not mention the exact process, and the products used.
Does anyone have any experience painting galvanized parts? Any help is appreciated.
I was wondering if anyone has ever sourced a close touch up paint match for the interior plastics on the 97' NAS ST trucks. I want to touch up a couple small scratches on my center console and door cards and was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a close match. Thanks for the help.
I might need to repaint my 1988 110 sooner than I wanted to.
Will maintain the original paint scheme (arrow red for body and white for the roof). Contemplated going black for the roof but am concerned with how difficult it is to get it right so that it won't crack over time.
The truck will not...
I have a set of aluminum factory wheels from Land Rover. I want to change the color to black.
Which is better and more durable, powder coat or paint? Interested in the durability when it comes to mounting the tires on the wheels. My tire shop always places the counter balance weights on the...
