So I've had the gasket's replaced on the transmission and transfer case. They've attempted twice and it's still leaking. The first time it failed they thought the replacement gaskets received failed because they were brittle paper gaskets. They said they followed torque specs. 1. Wondering...

Need to replace these...after repairing my bulkhead...there were no gaskets actually. Are these made of paper or rubber? Something I could make if I knew the material. Seems a bit high paying 8 bucks for these from some of the vendors I see

Located the source of the ticking sound. Seems it's the all too common blown head gasket at the rear of the head. This job looks rather straightforward, but I need to know which gaskets are needed for the job. I've already bookmarked the 3 hole Elring head gasket. Intake/exhaust gasket is...

I am replacing the head gaskets on my 3.5 V8 this week. Before I reassemble - which is better, metal or composite head gaskets? I have both (a little Pedro disease). Also - is a scotch brite pad too rough to clean the top surface of the block?

LR Direct has aftermarket differential gaskets for $.50. The OEM is $35.00. I'm going to buy the aftermarket seeing as how I could change it every week and still be ahead financially. But my question is why is it so much? If anyone buys the OEM gasket, can I ask why? For some parts I go OEM...

Hi, new here but need help. I own a 1985 2.5 turbo diesel 110. The head gasket popped so it was taken apart to redo the head. It turned out the gasket had corroded though between no 2 & 3 pistons. The gasket I removed has no 432830 stamped on and measures 2mm with a vernier. I live in South...

Need part numbers for gaskets for the section of the roll cage that goes through the fenders. There is a gasket and on my truck both left and right sides need to be replaced and I can't find them on Rover's North's web site. Any help? If I'm not being clear, I'll upload a picture on Monday.

Just wondering what is generally used for a gasket for the ram housing to intake manifold. A gasket doesn't come with a gasket set (that I could find) and I can't find one anywhere...even from the dealership. Is it just an RTV seal? The manual says the plenum gets hylomar, but I don't see...

Has anyone used something different? I.E. brass or copper? The paper and cork gaskets on the Series are ridiculous.

Apologies if this has been covered, but here it is again... In order to replace the glass or the rubber you will need the following: Lisle 47000 Windshield Locking Strip Tool ~$10 on line. Rubber seal and filler strip for windows JC89 sold by the meter (figure two meters per side) (I got mine...
