    Hi all, I just bought a 1993 defender 110 2.5na last week. Upon receiving it I took it for a test drive. Made it 15 miles before I lost all power and the engine slowly came to a stop. Took it to the shop, they said the fuel line to the pump was not secure, fixed that and I drove it home. Well...

    Out of curiosity, Why did Land Rover design this loop de loop in the fuel line from the lift pump to the filter and injection pump? My only guess is that it is some sort of counter-current mechanism for some preheating of fuel. Thoughts? Cwolfe
