Bought it on auction block, shipped to Washington State from England.
I am finding that there is a lot of little things wrong and haphazardly put together. All the parts are here but broke or just worn out. The guy who sold this put together a rig from his spare parts that needed to go somewhere else.
This rig has been under coated with something black and a lot of it to hid faults I am sure, At least I am not finding any rust that is not manageable.

Modifications
Drivetrain
2.5 turbo that has been worked on by a hammer mechanic. electrical system is hacked and spliced. short circuits run a mock.
Interior
broke or misused dash has seen much better days.
the electrical system in the dash is shorted out, half the fuses are blown.

Exterior
White with a solid side hard top, doors with sliding windows. and a coating of something black on the under carriage.
Audio
stock, were torqued down to where I used a 5' cheater bar to get the lugs nuts loose. When it came here the brakes were seized up in the rear, needed to be completely rebuilt. Wheel cylinders out was replaced.

This defender has been abused and misused. The POV has not taken care of her.
My plans are to get her back on the road and be once again a serviceable vehicle.
Things to do in order;
Get the electric sytem to work right
get it to steer straight
have the engine to start first time every time
have the doors shut tight and the windows to work
Then I will work on making her pretty again.
