1990 & 1992 Defender 130s (both RHD)

Wanted to consolidate an old post for 2 trucks in one. I am motivated to sell! I am supposed to be moving again overseas in less than one month, and would like to get at least one of these off my hands. I have one local friend who said they would be willing to store one on their property for the time we'll be gone.
I picked up both these trucks when I was stationed in the UK. One of them I shipped back on my own, and the other one (1992), Doug helped me get it over. Both run great, and have their original engines. 1990 (2.5TD 183k), 1992 (200tdi 167k).

The 1992 is a no frills hicap 200tdi. The chassis is in decent shape for its age, and doesn't appear to have any rot. I would welcome anyone to come over for careful inspection, or am happy to facetime with anyone if they want to see anything about the trucks in real time. Bulkhead is in good shape, as are the footwells, but not perfect. You will see the usual rust in the usual areas.

I am looking to get $28,000 for the 1992.

The 1990 was a partial van conversion where the previous owner removed the hicap bed, and put one in that is 10" shorter than the hicap version. I removed the topper, and had the truck resprayed, and did some rust remediation treatment on the frame. Truck runs/starts well. I use both to putz around the neighborhood. Doors were all professionally redone with new bottoms and treated with a POR15 like rust treatment. They are in excellent shape. The driver's side footwell and seatbox could use the most attention, and bulkhead mildly shows it's age.

I am looking to get $30,000 for the 1990 (recover some cost from body work/respray)

I would love to hold on to them, but I am potentially looking to be away from the US for years, and can't justify holding on to them in the interim. Please bring your offers.

Bump. Need to move these. Reality of current situation is spouse does not want to worry about these while overseas, and wants them out. I’m not winning this engagement.
Selling both trucks at $25k. Someone’s got to be in the market for one?

All else failing, put the 200TDI on BaT with no reserve, you should be able to get 12-15K for it, methinks?
Especially if you give that seatbox a quick clean and spray.

BaT

Funny, I tried to post it on BaT, and it did not pass their approval. I either didn't write a good enough description, or the truck wasn't in the condition they would want vehicles on their site to be in, or both...

they wont sell on bat. Defender with any work needed have been failing reserve way way below your asking prices on there.

Buyers on BaT now are pretty much looking for NAS and turn key polished ROW trucks

Just to be clear, since someone asked offline, the trucks are not being sold together for $25k as a bundle.

Has Autotrader ever worked out as a good platform for selling defender trucks?

bump. Still available. Moved overseas, but left both trucks behind with friends in the Northern Virginia area. Still open to offers!
