1989 Perentie for sale

Whatís everybody waiting on? If I still had the funds in the bank, Iíd buy this.
Unfortunately, I just recently bought an ultra low mileage 2008 RR L322 SC. So Iím out.

PS. The dealer even gave me a warranty thatís how few miles it had.

Argh, my shiny, sorry glossy () NAS sold today. Still unemployed though...

Out of curiosity, anyone know if an ARB front bumper would bolt up? I am sure it would but just out of curiosity.

And I just noticed the "rack" on the roof. How does that bolt up? Do you have any pictures of that, and the aforementioned doors and frame pics?

ARB will mount with a quick trim of the front frame rails. Uncle Douglas did the mod on my perentie.

The roof rack is secured via 4 bolts to the top of the front and rear ROPS hoops (either an m10 bolt or an m10 carriage bolt that goes through the other side of the tube - varies depending on perentie. Racks are unique to the perentie and were designed to hold the cam netting. What they lack in payload they make up for in low profile and low wind noise.

Paging Uncle Doug...

He's probably out driving one of his GM 292 conversions whizzing by gas stations at unstoppable speeds saying, "Ewwwww, look how expensive that dirty diesel fuel is!"
We converted a Perentie to lhd for a forum member, yes.
You loose the tube framed skid plate and we had to trim a bracket but otherwise straight forward just like a POM built truck. Yes the chassis and bulkhead are set up to be either.

Neil you have me confused with the only guy who has an antique 292 in a defender and keeps posting up gas station price signs for the benefit of those here who dont drive past 30-40 of them daily and are blissfully unaware of fuel prices, thats not me.

We are the guys with a corner of the shop taken up with brand new common rail Cummins 2.8's in crates that we are installing in defenders.

We love diesels and have nothing disparaging to say about them, unlike the antique 292 gas station sign education guy.

We have a Perentie brushbar and the weldments that it attaches to that were removed from Jon's truck years ago. It went upstairs and has been on a shelf ever since.

Asking for pictures of doors, floors or chassis on a Perentie are pointless. The chassis are heavily galvanized-read 3/16ths of zinc (never seen commercially made chassis with that much zinc). The bulkheads and doors are well maintained in an arid climate.
The Australian military keep excellent records and maintained their vehicles @ a level the UK military could only dream of. A perentie is 2x the truck that a Tithonus is, the truck listed here is a screaming deal.
