New guy in Maryland

Just recently purchased my first Land Rover, a 1985 Defender 90 with a 2.5L NA diesel. All stock for the moment but that will change shortly. My wife calls it the mail truck since it is all white with no side glass and RHD. :-) I look forward to learning a lot and getting it out on the trails once I get all the maintenance sorted.

Nice to have another MD Defender! I strongly recommend doing the Wintergreen run once you get your 90 all squared away. It's what these things were built for.

I was just in Waldorf (formerly White plains renamed Bennsville?) for Easter with the in-laws. I have a lot of friends from college in that area. I'll connect next time I'm in town. Congratulations and welcome to the madness, completely addictive!

Welcome! I'm just a bit south of you in St Mary's county down by the base at PAX River. If you aren't busy on Fathers day swing by Budds Creek for the off road expo. You can drive your D90 around the motorcross course.

Hey Blaster, I too am a new guy in Maryland. Baltimore here, though I went to school down in St. Mary's and dated a girl in beautiful Waldorf, (America's Best Kept Secret, according to the old billboards).

I don't know what it's like now, but back in the mid-90s there were a lot of great trails down there. I had a wrangler then and did my first 4 wheeling.

Good luck!

Not many if any places to ride anymore....people are a bit uptight about land usage. First real thing I have done to it is try to make it a bit less white....way too much white space so I found a sticker I liked!
