Can someone tell me the type of green fluid this is? Just found this dripping this am. Starts fine so far but don’t want to drive it until I know what this is.
Brake fluid? Engine coolant? I don’t have AC so...
Unless it had been converted from 300TDI to a nuclear reactor power, the only fluid that can be green in it is coolant, AFAIK. Very rarely, although it exists, you can have green power steering fluid.
Havre a nasty barking neighbor's dog lick it, if it dies - it's coolant (antifreeze)
Could be the water pump. Spray everything down from underneath and then try to follow the trail. The wp has a weep hole on the bottom that allows the coolant to spill when the seal inside starts to give. I recently replaced mine and the engine actually runs 5 degrees cooler with a new pump.
Thank you everyone - I'll look into it today. Appreciate the quick feedback - especially the dog comment I do have one of those across the street I could test it on and still be able to sleep at night.
