Any audio heads out there? Looking for aux/usb connection

Finally getting around to finishing up the punch list on my 90. I have the TD5 dash set up but I don't have a need for the power window switches and would like to add an aux input and usb connection to the radio where the power window switch is located.

Anyone know where/who has the pieces to make this look like a factory installation?

Don't recall the size of the stock switches, but Carling switches are too big?

If you replace the central switch panel with one of the sDP metal units a carlingbusb outlet fits perfectly.

yes but I don't think the carling usb will connect to the radio and doesn't have an aux input. At least I wasn't able to find one that would.

I think a BMW input will fit.

You are right about the Carling. It's a dumb power only plug.

I used one of these "USB Mount Cable - SINCODA 1M 3 Feet USB 3.0 and 3.5mm AUX Extention Mount, Flush, Dash, Panel Mount Cable for Car, Boat, Motorcycle" from amazon.

what usb type input is in your radio? Maybe just a Bluetooth module you can hide away? I am not familiar with whatever stock radio you have, but there is likely an option for BT if you have ANY sort of aux input on the stock.

I was looking at the blanking caps and can easily add a USB for power into that. I was going to run a BT only Amp and just use my phone as the source.

Thanks. I've seen a few of those type of options. I'm trying to match the power window switch size so it looks factory.

It's an alpine unit and I can connect via Bluetooth. In reality it's not really needed but neither are power window switches so i'm just trying to fill the opening with something useful instead of having switches that aren't connected to anything ( I can be a little ocd).

I may just add the Tallon socket system and at least have something that will look factory-ish, and have the ability to hang stuff on.
