NEW! - 3rd Brake Light Bars from Garrison Outfitters™

NEW! - 3rd Brake Light Bars from Garrison Outfitters™

10% Off for Defender Source Members!

We are happy to announce that, after more than a year of searching for the right fabricator, our 3rd Brake Light Bars are ready to go!

We were originally referred to a fabricator in the UK who has worked directly with Land Rover® (a competitor of Safety Devices) who initially seemed excited about the project, but whose initial sample came back warped and crooked. Trying to get them to correct the problem was like pulling teeth so we scrapped them and licked our wounds for time and money lost. But, by a stroke of luck and what seemed like divine intervention, we were put in touch with a roll cage fabricator right in our own back yard! This shop understood what we were trying to achieve and became as passionate about the project as we were.

To make things even better, we found (and are using) the same powder coating shop that does all of the work for renowned ICON 4x4! If anyone knows Jonathan Ward from ICON they will know his meticulous attention to detail. These powder coaters are not the cheapest, but they are the best!

Our bars are sandblasted with 80-grit aluminum oxide, pre-baked to off-gas any metal impurities, then coated and cured in the oven.

These bars are a copy of the ‘95/’97 model years, which are not as tall as the ’94 version but can accommodate 33” tires with ease. These bars replace Land Rover® Part Number AMR3941 (minus the light)

Price is $399 and, as always, we offer 10% Off for Defender Source Members!

Send us a PM or shoot and email to [email protected] and we will create an invoice for you with a shipping quote to your location.

Thanks for looking!

Best regards,
Paul

How neat! On the original one, at least on mine, the shelf for the light has nuts welded onto it for the light to screw into. I'm not sure if it's a 94 or 95/97 though. Do you know the height of them?

Hi Andrew,

The bars came fitted from the factory with pem nuts (small rivet-type nuts). We eliminated them to be more universal for people using different types of aftermarket lights. Also, because the pem nuts won't work with the new LED 3rd Brake Light we will be launching in the summer!!!

The 'shelf' bracket sits 11" above the top of the tailgate.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Paul

Hi,

Yes, it will be virtually indistinguishable from the original! However, it will feature a known brand name of LED light with a scratch-resistant and UV-resistant lens. The 3D prints have shown the design to be fully-functional. Now we're on to the tooling stage. Still a ways out but we'll try and keep you updated.

Best regards,
Paul

Got mine today. Quality is second to none. I haven't fitted it yet but I do not foresee any issues.

Any pictures of them mounted on the vehicle? Also will these fit with a 255/85-16 tire?

Here is a picture on our own vehicle which has your exact size of tire. 255/85/16.

Hope that helps.

We are hoping to have our LED 3rd Brake Light out sometime this summer. That may or may not be a prototype in the previous picture!
