Just to add a little fuel to the fire, my '06 dodge 2500 is equipped the same way as the old series Rovers. The front axle and diff is always turning, no locking hubs.

2.5 to 3.0 inch with mandrel bends would be great to let that diesel breathe. I've got a 3.9 turbo diesel with 3 inch open exhaust all the way back. The turbo takes most of the noise out of it.

It's an old rover, mileage becomes irrelevant at some point compared to condition. But thanks anyway. I'd prefer to have an accurate speed indication.

Sorry Ron, rear shaft. There is no play in and out. I did grab the end with a vise grip on a towel and smacked it with a hammer to no effect. Can't tell if they are drilled to use a slide hammer.

Hey guys I'm trying to pull some roam offroad axle shafts out of a parts truck. From what I remember, once you pull the drive flange the stock shafts should just slide right out. Not working that way...
