yep put a small ratchet strap on it to have some tension pulling the two together and slowly turn the crank pulley nut sounds like the nose of the input shaft isn't sliding into the pilot bushing.

great price- just pieced the same together sans the puma bonnet and used a td5 dash/bulkhead and it was expensive. HCPU tailgates are off the charts expensive for a new take off.

How much pressure ? There are testers that screw onto the coolant res that will test for exhaust gas in your coolant. That engine runs @ close to 400 psi any leak would likely pop your cooling system...

It sounds to me as though something else is wrong. You shouldn't have had to adjust that air bypass way out like that to get a strong idle. Any idea what your fuel pressure is ? Where is your timing...
