2015 Defender 110

So; I have been looking for 110 and in process of getting one but I luv to go online and check and see what else is out there, yesterday saw this post on ebay 2015 110 for sale legally in USA; even spoke to the gentleman selling and he reconfirmed its 2015 110, anyone else aware of this, could be a game changer. Not sure how he would have pulled that off. Military perhaps? Not legal for civilian. Has to be 25 years old to import and title in 49 states.

bilalayyazbaluch August 16th, 2016 11:40 AM

Yep I totally agree; he mentioned he had two and is selling both and can get it title anywhere in the US; I literally cannot afford them as the price is over six figures but that lady looks MINT,

Just an FYI...anyone that wants to order Heritage specific parts that require a VIN...

:)

bilalayyazbaluch August 16th, 2016 11:46 AM

No he is telling people that this is a heritage truck and that if people wanted parts for a heritage truck, this vin number will grant them access to order parts...

I wouldn't touch that truck with a 10 foot pool until I saw the approved import docs from DOT EPA and CBP. State titles mean nothing.

Dang...

And the military does not get you exemption to bring this in to US.

This is f'ed up on so many levels.

I am from FL, they just saw paperwork and issued a title.

But is it legally in the US?

Paging Will... Can this one be defended?

bilalayyazbaluch August 16th, 2016 12:06 PM

Yep the truck I am talking about is in FL right now; 2015 and I spoke to the guy last night, even in the AD he states call or text with questions. He did say he has another one well good for him, he would not say how he did it and I don't blame him :)

FlyersFan76 August 16th, 2016 12:11 PM

Is that the same Heritage that was being auctioned at Amalia Island? (I think it was Amelia Island)

bilalayyazbaluch August 16th, 2016 12:16 PM

That I am not sure about but its for sale at a FL dealership; when I "google" the phone number the following dealership comes up, Mirabella Motors - Used Cars - Tampa FL Dealer,

People are mentioned be careful if you are interested; too good to be true..............I think

Rocky August 16th, 2016 12:48 PM

Doesn't appear to be on diplomatic plates.
Whether the plates match the vehicle according to the DMV is another question needing verification.

RBBailey August 16th, 2016 01:01 PM

Don't go near it.

Just think of all the trouble the Feds went through to make sure and confiscate all those legal trucks from people two years ago, when they could have just done a simple eBay search.....

For the OP, as others are saying, the fact that he, probably a dealer, can get it titled in any state means nothing. It would almost certainly still be illegal, impossible to insure, and would most likely be confiscated and crushed.

Chip August 16th, 2016 01:50 PM

Sweet! And now how do we find the part numbers for those Heritage parts?

Chip August 16th, 2016 02:30 PM

Just in case you need Adventure parts too. ;)

Anyone with a Microcat subscription kind enough to put together a parts list? :) I found the part numbers for the front and rear badges here.

So far I've found these:

Rear badge: LR069121

Adventure front badge: LR069120

Heritage front badge: LR069214

Grasmere Green Heritage front radiator grill: LR069193

Santorini Black Adventure front radiator grill: LR069115

Adventure 90 front wing decal: LR069122

Adventure wheels: LR069127

Adventure pedal pads: LR069128 & LR069129 (I'm not sure which is the brake/clutch pad and throttle pedal pad)

Heritage & Adventure front floor mat set: LR06911

Based on the information I currently have at hand, I'm going to say no.

this is the VIN, so what you have is a limited edition vehicle that has be wrung onto a 1990 title, its so illegal its not true, it could even be a stolen vehicle

The year codes recycle every 26 years. It is the correct code for 2016. You are using an out of date decoder.
