New 110 cross-country break-in trip
Leaving Baltimore Friday in my new 110 (fresh off the boat from South Africa) and heading west until I get home in Seattle. Fingers crossed AAA won't be used more than a couple times.
Full fluid change (engine, trans, t-case, diffs, swivels) before leaving town and hopefully I can rectify any issues there rather than on the side of I-90. Fingers crossed for a smooth trip. Stay tuned.... |

Have lots of fun! Nothing beats a road trip!! :thumb:

What route are you taking?
|
Super cool road trip.
I'll be watching this one! Hope you don't have the 2.5 NA (Winter is coming). |
I used highway 12 when I ran out there,
2.5na did really good on that run and traffic wasn't an issue either, Have fun !!! |
sadly time is of the essence, so after picking up a co-pilot in Cleveland, it will be I-90 until Seattle.
2.5TD, not sure if that is any better than a N/A, but that's part of the adventure. |
very cool and best of luck!
staying on the interstate into seattle, you may want one of these: http://i68.tinypic.com/nosg1i.jpg :) |

Update
Day 1 complete. Approx 500miles. 8.5hrs driving Averaged 51mph due to beltway traffic, otherwise was in the 60-63 zone. Truck is running warm but otherwise okay. Power improved as the ambient air temp dropped below 90. I suspect the turbo isn't performing as designed. Making a checklist of changes / mods as I go.... Co-pilot joins in the AM for the journey from Cleveland to Seattle. Nice sunset over Pennsylvania Attachment 155616 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I'm sure the turbo is okay. I think the 19j top cruising speed somewhere in the 60s.
Good looking truck! Hope its a great trip! |
