Wanted: Range Rover Classic...again

I know, I am an idiot. But I didn't get my fix the 1st time around, and frankly it was bad timing. Lots of lessons learned, and this time I am in no rush to make a rash decision.

Looking for a SWB RRC. Want to wheel it, so not looking for a garage queen (my defender gets plenty of garage/mall action).

1. No tranny issues
2. No tranny issues
3. Would like a running/drivable truck off the gate
4. Would prefer a members truck that has good history
5. Not afraid of a little rust, but not looking for an boat anchor.

PM me or respond if you know/have one you may sell.

Let the beating begin...:hide:

There was a guy here just recently that fit that description perfectly. He's in Cali iirc.

Not sure where mine came from... But I was quite surprised since I bought this on the east coast.

The one I was thinking about is Epson.

I think you're thinking of mine, 1of40. It is a nice green CA truck but needs some mechanical work and has tranny issues. Price is right though.

This sounds perfect for Matt!

Trying to catch up on some PM's. I'll have to pass on the Cali truck as I'd rather have no floorboards and run my feet like Fred Flintstone than deal with another ZF tranny replace.

Went and looked at this 95. Although LWB I'd figure I'd check it out. Cali truck with very little rust. Located in Stuart's Draft, VA. Transmission wouldn't find gear so naturally I passed. I have guys contact info if anyone is interested.

Taken on the Mojave Road in April 2015 while out with the previous owner John, before he sold it to John Gadd..

Your favorite.... a non-working transmission.
I seriously have never noticed so many RRC's with faulty transmissions until now.

I've been told the ZF is very reliable. Maybe the only ones wanting to ever sell are the ones with issues.

Looked at a few trucks, no winner yet. Patience...

There's a 1990 in Vegas being sold by a Discoweb member. It's not the prettiest but at least it should not be a rust bucket.

Did you see Rico Palomino's LWB? It's listed here and it's located near Tampa. He goes by the name Palomino in this forum.

He wants one within 10 miles from his house, no rust, running perfectly, w/ an immaculate interior, and $800.
