Need pics of aircleaner mountings 200tdi
Well my aircleaner was just wedged in there previous to my motor pull. Now that im about to put the new engine in I need some examples of good ways to mount this thing. Custom is fine or stock let me see how you guys have it done.

Sorry? Do you have the correct stock air cleaner and want to know how it mounts? It just squeezes in there and will be hard to figure out from pictures. I think it would be pretty hard to mess it up as it is a tight fit and not a lot of space to not get it right.

Yep stock aircleaner, ive seen people mount them on both sides of 200tdis, hence why im asking.

My mounts are missing but I do have some huge 9in SS band clamps i was planning to use. Mine was wedged under the left wing and against the heater hoses.

It hangs out just to the right of the intercooler piping (when facing the truck), longitudinally, horizontally, with the cover pointing to the front of the truck.

Red90's definitely right about not having a lot of room. With the alternator, intercooler piping, turbo, intake manifold, exhaust downpipe, RHD heaterbox, wheel spats, and washer bottle, there's really only one place it can go.

I can't speak to a 200 but the 300's have the bracket that attaches to the RH side of the motor with two rear head bolts. It has the filter exit hose that goes behind the motor around and then into the turbo. On the bottom of the air filter the inlet hose goes down and connects to a dump valve , for water, and then into the RH fender side vent. Once installed you can not see much of the hoses as they are covered by the air cleaner case. On the hose that goes behind the motor, to the turbo, is a connection for the crankcase breather hose.

However you decide to do it you want to keep in mind that the colder the air the more power you will have. That is one reason the factory used the side vent on the fender, to get cooler air. You also have to be a little careful on where you are terminating the intake so that you are not picking up crud and or water.
I think one reason the factory hardware is not used in the converted engine trucks is the cost and availability of the parts. Those hoses are expensive! On one truck I made a bracket that was in the same factory location but attached by some other bolts other than the head bolts.

expensive and hard to find. I was just wondering by location where people were placing things, so i could relocate it more easily. Just simpler to do once you see what others have done

Expensive and hard to find??? Any junkyard in the UK and a few dollars. You just need to ask around. Should all be easy and cheap. It is just so much simpler in the end having stock parts.
