Will 255s fit a 90 without a lift? Without issue?

I ran the 255s stock and the only problem I had were on hard bumps where the wheels hit the flares but I was running aftermarket rims with more of an offset so the wheels were not as tucked under as stockers. Love the Cooper Discoverer 255 85 as you can add studs to them in case you want to take a trip up to Big Bear or Mammouth.

235/85 if you're stock.

That's what I run, KM2s. I had to adjust to stops a bit as the rubbed at full lock and sometimes under articluation they rub in the rear. Not much though.

Do you have a pic?

My 255's rub the rear fenders. My steering radius improved drastically over the 255's. Wheat are your goals for the truck, if I was running stock suspension id keep it on 235's.

It's on 265 all terrains. Was offered km2s as a trade but they are 255s. They are on a truck with a lift.

I have a 2" spring lift with those exact tires and I think you could add those Disco rubberized spring isolators (Expedition Exchange has them) to your stock setup and not have any rubbing issues. Gives you a 1/2" lift and softens the vibrations from the road.

Not a bad idea

Hi. Just so I understand this clearly... in a tire number... the first is the width, second is the ratio height to width... last is obviously radius.

So saying 255 vs 265 vs 235 is actually referring to the width of the tire... not the height.

255x85R16 = 33in x 10in
265x75R16 = 31.6in x 10.4in
235x85R16 = 31.7 x 9.25in

Right? And stock NAS Defender 90 tires are 265x75R16... at least for the '97.
