For Sale: 94 D-90 w/ 300TDi
This D-90 has 130k miles on it. The engine has approximately 60k on it. The engine swap was done by Rover Tracks. Maybe they can add some insight as the vehicle was used for the One World Expedition. Unfortunately the decal kit was removed by the previous owner. There was a shadow from the decals on the hood and it was peeling so I had it repainted. The fabric cargo net is still in the roof from the expedition -- would love to know what they put up there!

I have about 15 pictures online. I will add some of the chassis. The chassis is in good condition, normal surface scale -- no holes. The transmission shifts smoothly. I don't know if the timing belt was changed or to assume it needs that after 60k.

Please chime in if you know the history of the vehicle as I'm sure many of you already know this one. Vehicle is located in Atlanta, Georgia.

I only have a 3 car Garage... One Defender in each garage? When I get a 110, I guess I will have to move.

It is Damn nice.

marco March 31st, 2008 03:06 PM

thanks it is nice...except for the alloys it looks like the one Jack is sitting on!

woldd90 March 31st, 2008 03:09 PM

I actually thought it was Jack's at first glance. Trying to sell it under another name or something. His is a ROW D90.

Why are you selling it? A truck with that type of pedigree and 300 TDI, you should have been out on the trails with us...

marco March 31st, 2008 03:23 PM

I just bought a house...too good a deal to pass up given the market and I now I need the cash to fix it always comes down to needing cash doesn't it! It does have a pedigree and the diesel is awesome...hopefully it will go to a good home.

Your truck sounds very familiar... Hey we have one of these and maybe another would not be a bad idea. I'll send you my contact info via email. Thanks Lang

I met with my builder price of $33,900.

discotdi April 15th, 2008 08:31 PM

Can't believe no one has snapped this D90 up yet! It looks great, wish I had the $$$.

globallandrovers April 16th, 2008 04:02 AM

That is one great looking truck. Btw, if any of you guys buys a 200 or a 300tdi engine in the UK we can help you ship it to the US as we just did one for Dougs brother.

Maine 110 April 30th, 2008 11:40 AM

Is this truck still available? Trade for a Dodge cummins with a snowplow? :rolleyes Seriously though I am surprised this has not sold.

discotdi May 1st, 2008 08:02 PM

still for sale. I am surprised too.

Dilks May 1st, 2008 10:49 PM

maybe try ebay, there are a bunch of 90's on there right now though, nice truck

marco May 28th, 2008 11:12 AM

Hey guys...I am having a friend list the Defender on ebay -- I hate to use e-bay too much trouble.

Any other advice? I am surprised that a diesel d-90 wasn't snapped given what people are paying for bad-title gray market 110's. This is a true NAS vehicle not a bogus title one.

JimC May 28th, 2008 11:20 AM

I don't think people are really paying much for bad-title grey market 110's. The 83s floating around here are legit.

I think its just a tough market right now. Tons of my friends all say they want to buy a truck like mine, and I always inform them when trucks come on the market, but no one ever wants to put their money where their mouths are.

cool pics
Hey guys everyone has been asking the same here's the answers to the most common ones:

The vehicle doesn't have any major rust issues...everything works...fuel economy is in the low 20' a/ rear seat.

A buddy found some pics online of the previous owner testing it out before his Africa Expedition....check them out and don't miss clicking on the states for pics:

Is this D-90 still for sale?

D-90 Source Members:

Have any of you local Georgia D-90 Source members seen/ inspected the vehicle (mechanical condition, Rust, etc.)

I DON'T believe Marc is being at all misleading, I'm just extra cautious as I'm not able to personally inspect.

woldd90 August 4th, 2008 02:44 PM

I would be able to check it out if you need me too...
