Hey David- Dan Harris suggested I contact you, as I am flying to Vancouver next week to get a 110 that is running/driving- but just barely. I will drive it Stateside, but need a spot to park it and ship from- they will only need to meet a driver and hand them the keys, or even leave the keys hidden once logistics are in place. They can be aa Rover guy or not at this point as they are simply providing a place to ship from, residence or business. Anyway, Dan thought you may have some contacts up that way. Defenders NW are happy to help, but they are at times difficult to contact which could be an issue for the driver.
Thanks for any help you can provide- really appreciate it!
    Cheers

I'm heading to Portland on Friday. Do you want me to drop your bumper off then?

When you say "glad it didn't get crushed" regarding the RHD 110 double cab, are you implying that it is a vin swapped truck? I suspect it is, but don't fancy leveling accusations in the thread. After seeing the article about Ben Natter being sentenced for illegal defenders it seems clear that this truck somehow slipped past the goalie...

    David,

I'm relatively new and unable to PM.
Could you pass on the Radio Aux Input write up?
    Thanks!

It's actually supported by the carrier's bracket bolts that hold the wheel on. There are three bolts for the tire that lug nuts would fasten to to hold the spare on. two of the three are level to one another. I used these two, which just so happen to have the same orientation to one another as the mounting holes in the gas can carrier. Instead of using the lug nuts, I put an "long nut" (like all-thread is a long bolt with no head and just all threaded, this is a long nut with thread inside and no terminal point.) I needed this long nut to offset the carrier so that it would rest upright. I put a rubber spacer in between everything so that I wouldn't mar the rim of the spare. Thats it! It's simply just a long nut instead of a lug that I then bolted the jerry carrier to. I'll take a picture tomorrow. It's extra weight on an already weak spare swing away carrier so I wouldn't carry fuel all the time or just leave it latched to maintain strength.

You have a close up pic of your fuel container bracket mounting? Is it supported by the tire or through the wheel center to the spare mounting bracket? Thanks.
