Yakima Bike Rack

Yakima Spare Tire Rack with the special plate made by JPayne. Rack comes with two keys and a cable lock. Original Yakima mount is also included. All in good condition. I had the plate powder coated. $225 plus shipping.

Can you tell me a bit about the rack. How does it mount? I've never seen it before.

Plate mounts to the spare tire carrier, rack mounts to the plate. Just like the picture below, but looks much better on a black truck

Bike rack

Did a back plate have to be modified to fit?
Or does a stock yakima bike rack fit?
,thanks

I'll plug Jeff's adapter plate as well! I have one of them and it's really well-made, looks good and works great.

I fabbed up something myself several years ago that worked OK, but looked like crap and would only work with steel wheels (i.e. larger center hole.)

Jeff's is the much better option and works with standard alloys, etc. (Mine came with a rack I bought from Barry last fall.) Plus, if you check out his web site and avatar, Jeff makes awesome Rube Goldberg mechanical sculptures that I would fill a house with if it was an option!
