I put one of these on my build. Keeps folks off my tail in bad weather.

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.

These should only be used in actual fog as they are as bright as brake lights and dazzle the drivers behind.

I used my Fog when I found that my brake lights had decided to stop working on the way home. Figured it was better than nothing and most folks are confused with the arm signals
