Window Needed for Fiberglass Top and advice on installation

I wish I could think of a better way to describe what I am looking for. I need the window that is a long oval on the top of the fiberglass top, I know how strange that description is but that is the only way I can come up with. Someone shattered mine unfortunately and it is cold, wet, and rainy here in San Francisco. Can anyone help?

Also, I had a piece of thick plastic cut to see if I can use that temporarily. Any advice as to how to install windows into the tops? Not a lot of wiggle room which is good when it is in, but makes it tough when trying to install. Any help much appreciated!

I have heard that this particular piece of glass is the same for a 110 and a 90.

I realized this thread is in the wrong section. How do I delete it?

It is called an Alpine Window. No idea how to install it, but I assume you just have to get it past the seal on one side. Heat would make the seal more pliable, and silicone spray would probably help, but I have never done it and don't know if there is a special trick. FWIW, I think there is a special tool though...

It's a locking seal and is a bitch. It can be done, just remove the locking trim from the larger strip (the one nests in the other) and it'll be easier. Just be very careful with the fiberglass when you do it. No idea where to get the part, I sold my spares earlier this year. Could they be the same as in the roof of a 110?

The discos have the Alpine windows too so I wonder if you could get them from a glass place that does windshields etc. Might be easier to get a piece for a disco I then a Defender. I don't know if they are the same size, but the seals appear similar for the Disco I and the Defender.

No, apparently the disco size is different. If they were the same, life would be too easy, wouldn't it? They are the same size as the 110

Too bad it was an alpine window, because I have every other window for a fiberglass top.
