My Warn kit works wonderfully. With my aftermarket seats in the 90, I cant access the battery compartment easily. In my 94 I had the connector available right out of the box and now on my 97, it have the disconnect going to the winch where I can hook in the jumper cables when needed.

But you must be using longer cables to get from the battery to the winch right? 4' can't be long enough.

But I do like the idea. This is model 26769 right? - looks like you can get good deals on these right now.

Yes, the cables in the 97 were already run up to the front so I just added the disconnects to the connection at the winch and that my new point to plug in with the jumper cable plug.

Yeah I need to get a winch first, but I definitely like this idea. Can disconnect the winch as a general safety measure when not wheeling too.

I used a similar kit and remoted the winch controls under the seat. Now the winch control just plugs in a little outlet on the seat box. Doing this also kills power to the winch so no one can vandalize it. I also ran a power quick connect right outside the seat box and built a set of matching jumper cables.
