various 3.9L engine parts

I have essentially a complete 3.9L V8 from a 94 D90 with 72K miles on it that has a slipped liner, minus the fan clutch, alternator and flywheel (and the sump might be spoken for). I feel like it's a waste to chuck it, so if anyone needs any parts from this, let me know. The price is effectively whatever it's worth to you (including zero), although keep in mind it will also take me effort to strip it down and ship etc. I think certain items like the timing cover assembly and such have value and I'd like to get something for them. For example the heads are good and have been pressure tested so i assume they are worth something, although I am not sure what exactly.

No bidding wars please - this is not the intent. If someone has the time and energy to list what bits have value and want to say so then so be it, otherwise it's going to be first come first served. The idea is to help people out who might need the parts.

I need to make time to strip some of the stuff so don't expect any of it in a screaming hurry.

I have an easy one for you... Licked (hopefully) the fiber tube between the MAF and the throttle body- I'll PM for details and/or if that is part of the pile of goodies!
Regards,
Jay

Nope sorry. Parts start at the throttle body.

Hi Charles,

I'm interested in

- Heads
- Valve Covers
- Oil Pan (If not spoken for)

And maybe some more. I'm in no hurray so maybe we can find a reasonable way to ship.

John

Ok John I'll PM you next week. Those are already stripped (other than the oil pan, but Brett might be taking it).

Rob, giving it some thought I definitely will keep some of the small "consumables" that I can use as spares. So injectors, stepper, idle air valve I'll be keeping sorry.

I should have the Alternator bracket. The clear plastic cover inside the distributor picked up a crack at some point, but is otherwise complete sans ignition module (which is new and I am keeping). I might want to give someone a shot at the whole front cover assembly including the dizzy, both otherwise you are first up.

I'm going out of town for the weekend but hopefully next week sometime I can start getting things organized with it.

O.K. let me know on the dizzy or the whole front cover either way. Also my alt. bracket is crusty/rusty so if yours isn't rusty I'll take it.

Rob, if you don't end up going with the timing cover, I'm interested in it.

Rob, email or pm me and make me an offer on the timing cover and anything else you might need. I honestly am not sure what brackets are what but what I have are shown. I think I have the alternator tensioner part, but it's at Jeff's house. I can ask him to post a picture if you want, but I imagine it will be a bit rusty too. The timing set looked really good to me (although I am no expert). The teeth show no signs of wear at all.

Dan has dibs on the idler pulley and unless you want anything else I'll send it Monday.

Brett has dibs on the dipstick if he needs it - I forget to throw it in with the oil pan.

The oil pickup tube shown is spoken for (i forgot to send to john).

Everything else available. Note that one of the piston rods is bent.

A couple more pictures I should have taken. One shows a crack in the clear plastic cover inside the distributor. I don't think it affects it's function, but someone tell me if I'm wrong please.

The other shows you'll need to source a bolt. I had to remove the oil pump to remove the cover and the he only multipoint wrench I had that would fit was the ratcheting kind that you have to flip over to change directions. There was not enough clearance undoing the bolt and because of the style wrench I couldn't tighten it back in and the head of the bolt has a shoulder so I had to cut the head off the bolt and unscrew the rest of it once I had removed the pump. Long story short you need a bolt
