V8 Drivetrain for Sale

Recently completed a 300tdi conversion on my 1983 Land Rover Defender 110.

Now selling the original 3.5L V8 Engine (113hp, 185 ft-lbs) with LT95 Transmission, and pneumatic Transfer Case. 61,700 miles. Runs great. Please see below You Tube video of engine start and running just prior to pulling it earlier this year. Engine had new intake & carb installed at 50K miles. Clutch, Pressure Plate, Bearing, and Fork all replaced at 55K miles. I changed fluids religiously on this truck and thus really wanted to keep the original drive-train for another project....however, my garage is full-up and wife has stubbed toes on it one too many times.

Includes cross member, mounts (engine and transmission), all accessories (water pump, power steering pump, AC compressor, belt, fan, radiator, hoses, starter, all shift linkages, etc, etc, etc.) Feel free to call or e-mail with any questions.

Pick it up yourself in Austin, TX or organize your own shipping. I can palatalize and plastic wrap for your shipper to pick-up. Shipping dimensions approx 70" long, 48" wide, 40" tall. 950lbs.

$1000 OBO

I see the under dash a/c unit and dryer, but no compressor? Also, I am not familiar with that T-case, will the tranny bolt up to a LT230?

I am very interested- would you palletize and drop it at Forward Air terminal in Austin?

Thanks- PM please to discuss further...

nope- lt95 is a one part 4 speed trans and transfer case used in the 101, early RRC and 110's up until the lt85 5spd was developed.

The knob on the seat box isn't four wheel drive, its difflock. The knob was out on the video and the difflock light was illuminated on the dash so that clearly works.

Greetings rovertrader, I listed the A/C compressor in the post but didn't mention it specifically in the video. The compressor is included in the sale (as it's custom mounted to the engine block). The rest of the A/C system I'm keeping with the truck for use with the recently installed 300tdi.

Cool, thanks Aaron- let me figure out the tranny issue. I definitely want the motor- figured the comp must be custom as it wasn't up top- where is it located by the way?

Compressor is located on the lower right when facing the front of the engine (under the power steering pump).

I am interested in the gearbox with all mounting hardware and linkage. This may work well with rovertrader's desire for the engine. What do you want for the gearbox sans motor? What is the knob located next to the handbrake? Is this an overdrive, possibly?
Thanks

Those one piece transmissions are rarer than Ben's teeth. Also used in 101.

Pretty sure the Overdrive units for the LT95 are worth a bit more than what he is asking for this whole package anyway.
