thule rack

I have a thule trailer hitch rack. I think it is a 956. It is a 2 inch receiver rack not one of the new ones that has an adapter. It will hold four bikes and clears the spare on a soft top. I want one of those spare tire carriers thule makes (one that goes through the spare). Willing to trade or sell this for 150. I think it is $300. No clue how to ship it though.

Will post a pic in a minute.

Will also throw in the hitch lock so no one can steal the rack.

What an asset this would be. Have you put 4 on there yet?

Which part? You just being a douche? The lock is because some people fear their racks being stolen just like they fear their aux lights stolen. I have only had 2 mountain bikes on it.

Just saw that the rack I want won't work so I think I am going to keep this.

Horsey, I hope to hell you've learned your lesson and you're not trying to step on someone's For Sale post. Even if you're not, you're still adding little to no value with your post here. Next time you think about posting to any thread, just tell your fat little sausage fingers to not do it as it will most likely be a waste of space.

Brian

Go easy on Horsey. The only explanation I can think of for his starting shit is that he is like a battered wife. He can only feel love when he is being beaten. Do you feel loved Horsey? Do you?

On another note can anyone confirm that they have used the
963XTR Spare Me successfully on a soft top?

Brian as usual there you go not paying attention. I've shown interest in this rack multiple times.

Barry, which rack won't fit? I don't think the Thule spare ones will fit without some tweaking, but also I thought you were always concerned about weight on the door. 2 bikes would be around 40 pounds additional with the rack.

Thought about weight on door but the majority of the time I have only one bike on the truck and it isn't day in day out. I figure it won't be a big deal. I am fine with tweaking the mount but no one has said if tweaking will even work

Horsey

I just reread your post that made Brian go nuts. The problem is your comment seemed sarcastic and directed at the lock.

I had the swing-away version of this Thule rack (called Revolver) that I used in Moab. Excellent rack, very solid. The hitch lock is must have.

I just hate having to swing or bend it out of the way. I want one that is tire specific for my laziness
