TD5 Rear SW Door - Bare

So I bought a new TD5 bare rear SW door on here dirt cheap - $100 plus shipping. I am realizing I won't get to this project anytime soon. The door has a slight, very repairable bend/dent in the bottom, and a slight ding at a bottom corner. After looking at the door, these are both very easy to fix.

I'll get some better pics this afternoon.

I REALLY DON'T WANT TO SHIP THIS......

Asking $150 firm.

All parts are available. I have a .PDF of the parts list and already contacted Lucky8 - he can get them.

Here are a couple pics of the door.

The ding/bend is easy to fix as the door is all steel. A simple relief cut, hammer flat, and reweld.

A good body shop shouldnt have to cut it. They should be able to heat and rework.

The metal is stretched, heat won't help it. Thanks for the tip though.

Hi, Jonahan-

I may be interested, and I'll also be driving up your way in a few weeks from Norfolk. Consider it tentatively licked if not already tagged via PM.

Is it just the raw door shell, or does it have any glass, interior panel, etc?

Can I ask you to remind me...What is different about the TD5 doors to the 97 that came in my SW or the "in-between year" take-off door I bought new and had painted when I refinished my truck? I'll also dig into my $100 magic LR D parts manual.

Thanks,
Murph

Oh, and I also need to talk with you about roof rack parts while we're at it!

No one has licked the door yet, but there is some interest. First one to officially lick and Paypal gift me $150 at wolffabrication at gmail dot com gets it.

I am not sure the difference in the glass, but this is a TD5 door, 2002 and up. The glass has a different part number too.

Can I ask you for a photo of the interior side? I'd like to confirm the reinforcement bar layout. I think I see one, but does it have a hole & mounting area for a for rear wiper?

I will take it, if you will box it up to ship. Seems you would rather see it picked up, so I will wait in line.

Thanks

Thanks for the glass word and photo, J.

I wanted to verify the part cross-over from the door I put on a couple of years ago to see what I could reuse, including the new defrost window and aftermarket door panel. No joy. The door is one of the old-style ones with the flatbotton/non-rounded corner glass, so basically none of my stuff will work. I'll have to pass on it for now and deal with the rusty water dribble out the bottom for a bit longer.

I'll still get in touch soonest about some roof rack stuff.

Murph

The lock/handle will work, and the wiper can be made to work if that helps.

So the big items are the glass, glass seal, and door card, and some little items.

Rog-

I'll dig back into the LR parts Magna Carta and see if the price pain can be absorbed. I'm at the squadron today, so I'll be back to you in a couple of hours.

OK, I'm in. If still available, give me the green light and I'll get the Paypal payment to you post haste.

(I'm supposed to be clearing out the garage for the move instead of accumulating more LR stuff.)
