Station Wagon Doors - new style

I am looking to sell some "new" style station wagon doors. They are the ones that are galvanized frame and skin. These "new take-off" doors that were damaged in shipping (to the previous owner). I bought them off ebay about a year ago. Each of the 4 corners of both doors have some damage, but they have been basically straightened. A little bondo and sanding and they should be pretty good. Probably perfect for a trail truck with just a little work.

They are white in color, with black door cards, and are completely stripped of the bits, ready for any final body work, priming and painting. All the bits and pieces were carefully removed and are included.

I am looking to get around $700 for the pair, plus shipping. I may be interested in splitting the doors and interior pieces up if I had two parties interested. Preference will be given to local pickup, or possible delivery/meetup within an hour of 05255.

Thanks!
Greg

Do I have these priced too high? Or is no one in need of these?

If I needed a set I'd be interested - they are complete with glass, hardware, handles and door cards etc?

Biggest issue to most people is shipping would be high.

I think most people are a bit scared of them as there are some creases in the center part of the door (or there seems to be in the photos). New skins are difficult to obtain stateside as they get damaged in shipping.

I'm relatively local and I'd be interested in them, but we'd probably have to deal on the price a bit more to make it worth my while. I suspect many are in the same boat.

Yeah, that's what I figured.

The doors complete with all glass, hardware, handles, etc. Complete, but disassembled. I will probably end up doing the body work myself, putting them back together and selling on ebay.

I would think you could part them out and get the 600

Well, I'll open it up to that idea too then. If there is enough interest in the bits, I wouldn't mind parting the doors out.

I have everything, glass, door cards (black) and all the trimmings.

I bought them off ebay, and they came from Utah.

??

(I paid $900+ for them including shipping, this was before they were so "plentiful" in the states)

I would imagine some would think restoring them would be a really big job, more of a shop type of thing rather than a parking garage kind of thing. That said, I would try just to see how good of a body guy I could be.

I might be interested in the door handles and other bits if you decide to part them out.

James,

Shoot me a PM with exactly what you are looking for, and we might be able to work something out.

These are a whole lot easier to fix than aluminum skins. Keep in mind these are all steel doors. Craddocks sells the new steel door skins cheap.
