ST 3rd Brake Light Bars Run #3

If anyone is interested please let me know as I can have the machine shop do another run. Each run is coming out better and better as they have my old tailgate to go off of as a jig for the mounts.
Price is $230 plus shipping and bars come in a semi-gloss black powder coat. Shipping to a business is a lot cheaper.

Note: To everyone that has purchased these and I thank you all and hope you are happy with them. My markup on these items is about $20 per bar which covers gas to run around and ship these as I don't own a machine shop, I'm just a non-practicing CPA who likes my truck and would like to help others replace the same items that annoy me about the defenders - i.e. rotting 3rd brake light bars, tire carriers that don't have room for high lifts or jerry cans, etc. I don't know how long I will continue to have them made as I am not sure how long the demand will stick around. but I will keep going on these as long as you guys/gals want or until someone else sells them for $20 cheaper

Pictures are from the prior runs.

Jason and Jon. Sent you 2 a PM. Anyone else for the next run, shoot me a PM. Price is still the same $230 plus shipping for Semi Gloss Black Powder coated version. All the tooling is now set up to make them as close to an an exact replica as possible....o without the rust I mean . And I have the shipping boxes already purchased for their odd size.

Doug,
What are you going to do about the light? Did you get this from the P.O.? as all I am making at this point is the bar, so hopefully the P.O. included the light as well.

Any help on the brake light assembly?

Still in for the bar. Gotta believe there's a source for a LED or regular brake light that fits.

Any help anyone?

If I had a metal light housing that held lets say a light similar to the front turn signals on a 94 would there be an interest in a brake light housing that would look different from stock? Even if any of us were to get an injection mold done of the 2 piece housing, how would we get light bulb elements and holders within that casing to include how would you get a piece of red transparent plastic that is DOT approved to match it. So to build the "factory look alikes" they would need to come up with either 3 or 4 pieces to assmble plus wiring. Thoughts?

Can you ship to Montreal / Canada ?

If anyone decides to make these I'd definitely be interested.

Also Clay, the brake light bar looks great. Thanks for taking the time to make these.

Charles,
Thank you very much for the feedback. from your post above, would you be interested in a -

a metal light housing that held lets say a light similar to the front turn signals on a 94? I would try to have the shop fashion one as close to but not quite like the stock light that is NLA? I may start a poll ang move this to a different thread.

I'd be interested in that (depending on the price). It'd be great to get it as close to stock as possible. Maybe something that can fit aall the NAS years? I'm in need of a new housing. The plastic for the brake light seems to be fine. I'm not exactly sure how the brake light is put together but if you have the shop fashion the housing I assume that it'd work fine?

Charles,
Not yet sorry. I went by the big rig store to check out their light section and they were closed. I have to sneak away during lunch and see their selection of possible replacement lights. I did check with the machine shop and they have no problem working with sheet metal to come up with a housing for what ever light is decided upon. I will take some pictures of the light selection and posted them in a different poll to see what the consensus is on board members taste. Thanks for your patience with this one. If we go with a lot that already has a DOT number on it, it may help when people go through vehicle inspection in certain states...so I am leaning toward a pre made light that is weather resistant.

------ Follow up post added April 25th, 2012 10:40 PM ------

It looks like I have 1 bar left on this run. Shoot me a PM if you are interested. The machine shop turned this batch quicker than ever so putting in another order should go by pretty quick.
Thanks all!

I'd personally be most interested in a light that looks as close to stock as possible. Maybe someone knows a shop that could reproduce the actual light and lens or would that be prohibitively expensive or even impossible because of DOT certification?

Doesn´t Corvette´s C4 (1986-1990), NAS Alfa Romeo 164 S and Spyder Veloce (1991) and also NAS Ferraris from the 90´s use actually a really similar (or the same) 3rd brake light as the NAS D-90´s? Just Google pictures on the web.

And what about this one also?
