Side and Rear Window (Mantec) Guards

I just unpacked the pallet that arrived from the UK and found a set of new Mantec Defender 90/110 side and rear window guards. All three include mountign hardware and are new. The side ones are Mantec and are mounted outside so one can still slide open the windows from the inside of the truck. The rear set (all three windows) mount on the inside and I am not sure of the brand.

Also in the box is a set of black checker plates bonnet and wings if anyone is interested.

Located in Orlando, FL.

I would prefer to sale the window guards as a complete set but I would be willing to split the sides and rear set.

Total set $615.00

Rear only $289.00
Side only $330.00

I can be reached at 407.782.7713 or best email is spreters@unitech1.com. If you want more pictures email me and I will send them.

Not that it matters much but I see that I did not mention that the local pickup price would be 580.00 and that shipping is included in the price.

Ron from your description on the phone it seems like you have Series side window frames, but then it hit me that thouse would be short for a Defender Frame. So I have no clue what you have as side windows.

Here is a picture of the guards laid against an 88 III side window. They will work just as well on the side, only they are longer than an 88 window.

Hope this helps

Thanks for taking the time to post up the pics, Stephen. I think they would fit fine. I think the difference between mine and the 93 is cosmetic but the dimensions are the same. If you want to sell the stuff to Aric, who's nearer to you, that's cool too.

Aric, if you haven't heard from Stephen, it may be because he said he was going to be off the board for 3 or 4 days. He can sort it out when he gets back. How 'bout a pic of your 110 to keep me entertained til he gets back?

Rod - I was able to get in touch with Stephen and sent him payment for one set of the side guards. I'm not sure, but he may have more available.

Sorry, I'm out of town and don't have any good pics of my current 110 with me. But, I have attached a shot of my last 110 in action and a boring still shot of the back of my current 110. Hope this gets you through...

Now that's some sweet Rover Porn, right there! I got wood from that.

Maybe Stephen will throw another set of window guards in for me on another load he brings in. He seems to be a great source for unusual/out of the ordinary stuff.

Yeah, those pictures will definately get me by! Thanks for putting them up, Aric!

Stephen, you stud you! Thanks, man, I really apreciate that. Did Aric get the stuff for the rear door/windows, or is it still available? You've piqued my interest.....what kind of 300 stuff are you bringing in?

Thanks again,

Rod

Will someone bring in some rear door chequer plating please?

Aric,
Talk to me about the rear vents you have on your hard top. Saw a pair on ebay 2 months ago and almost bought them, as I put a vented bulkhead in my 93, and heard that they improve front to rear cross flow from the vents. What's your experience and why did you put them in?

The rears are still available as Aric only needed the side guards. I have brough in 5 300 TDIs over the rear and have access to all service and related parts. The company I deal with is very fair and refuses to sell me junk or any items that are in question.

The last 300 was 6800.00 and included
new radiator w / intercooler and housing / brackets
complete brand new exhaust
fuel sending unit
wiring harness
transmission
transfer case
mounting brackes
cross member
all new filrters and belts
Altanater / starter / AC pump
new timing belt and upgrade kit installed
new front and rear seals installed
and much more 58K miles on the engine

Mark -
Those rear vents were, as far as I am aware, stock items on my non-air conditioned truck. Honestly, I don't know much about them. Sorry.

Stephen -
I'd also be interested in a chequer plate panel for the rear door, if you're taking orders....
Thanks, Aric
