Series IIa 88" Frame

Used 88" Series IIa frame... $300 OBO, must pickup from West Caldwell, NJ 07006

Rear crossmember is toast, it's got some rust spots in it and part of it is bent.. rest of the frame is straight and in overall good condition.. there is surface rust on a lot of it, but everything seems solid (went over it with a hammer)... It looks like someone painted the front half of the frame brown but its all smooth under it. This would be an excellent candidate to put a replacement rear crossmember w/ extensions on and then get galvanized. The tape measure picture shows to where the rust goes on the frame... so the replacement crossmembers with 18" would be more than enough to get rid of all the rust holes.

Only the frame is for sale (not the axles/suspension)... the steering relay is still in the frame as I wasn't able to easily get it out so I'm just getting a new one for the rebuild.

Feel free to ask for any more pictures/etc..

DiscoSux can use this. He just bought those Cockeysville trucks. This for the 88 pickup.

When I bought my SIIa, it came with a replacement galvanized chassis, otherwise I would have just cleaned this up a bit and put a new rear cross member on it.

Dumb question, but would this work as a replacement for a series 3? I don't know the differences between the two frames.

I would think so as the new frames are listed for both:
