Sorry. That being said I wonder if anyone who has one for a LHD manual defender 90 could try to fit it on a manual disco 1 and report back on fitment?

Oh well... thanks for checking.

So there are several different styles displayed on the site. You would just need the one for without a/c
So yes you can get one for your vehicle.

I am interested but just a quick question. According to their website the price would be $120 +/- which would leave $30 each to get them to NYC. That would be full retail price plus $300 to ship 10.

Doesn't really sound like they are doing any better on 10 than 1?

Ben

Sorry not understanding the question. Take a look at this and hopefully it'll help clarify whatever you were trying to ask. If not shoot me a PM

My original email:
"Good Day

I am writing to inquire if you would offer group pricing (? > 10 units) for my local land rover club here in the USA. Shipping would be to 10583.

Most of us have NAS V8 with air conditioners, so that’d be the preferred initial selection, but we have a few 80’s ROW 200 & 300TDIs.

AL"

His response:

"Hi Al

are all the vehicles LHD ? you would require the air con version if all the vehicles are pre 2004 v8's.

the best i could do on 10 off is 70 per unit or 65 per unit if you wish to have them un coated in natural steel ?

postage for all 10 will be 273

Best Regards
Carl"
& his response for individual shipping rates to my zip code ( I doubt it'll be that much different than anywhere else on the east coast)

"Hi Mate,

Thats no problem at all either way. shipping is around 60.00 for a single unit on a 7day service !

carl"

So individual price plus 1/10 of shipping is how I calculated per price total (for a 10 group buy). Clearly with exchange rates changing by the minute there will be a fluctuation in final price, so I was hoping to put a little cushion so I wasn't screwed trying to help my fellow Defender heads.

Hope this helps clarify.

Don't forget tariffs in your total costs to get them into your hands in US, they will be sending FOB UK no doubt. (but you may have already accounted for it)

You know, I'm knocking on wood, but of the several $1000's I've spent over the years I've never had to pay tariffs. Of course now I will.
I figure once I get the final requests in I'll send the final list & totals & then report back on final amount due. Hoping it'll be no more than what I've calculated.
Fingers crossed.

Very lucky. Some bigger firms, Like Deamon-Tweeks, ship FOB buyers address, which would include tariffs, but smaller often don't. I did group buy once on heated Subaru windscreens and got whacked.

I don't have any personal real world experience, but besides the Safe T one being half the price to do the same thing with a thicker metal casing and IMO a less hokey key than the ardcase (I grew up with those old type of keys and I remember being able to pick those locks pretty easy. IDK, maybe this is better), but here are some sites. I'm ok with the safe t. At the end of the day, it's a detractor. It can't deter a flatbed truck. So for $150 vs. $300, I'm ok with Safe T.

Going to see what the pricing will be for just 7, if there is no more interest.
